Kim Kardashian has been granted an extended restraining order against a man accused of repeatedly stalking her. The reality TV star decided to take legal action against Dennis Shaun Bowman in January following concerns that he had convinced himself the pair were in a relationship, TMZ reports. In documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kardashian recounted how Bowman had started contacting her on Twitter last September, before relocating from Georgia to near her Californian residence.

Kardashian went on to claim that Bowman had then followed her to several promotional appearances in Los Angeles, and had also began writing abusive messages about her boyfriend, NFL star Reggie Bush. The 29-year-old won a temporary restraining order against Bowman last month, but the case returned to court yesterday when a judge placed a further three-year ban on the suspected stalker, which will remain in place until 2013. Neither Kardashian nor Bowman were present at the hearing.
