Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are definitely on the outs, what with their divorce and all the corresponding drama, much of which is due to actions played out again and again on reality TV show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York. But is the split going so far as to affect Humphries' NBA career, distracting him from the game? After all, he has been booed on the court (something he publicly admitted was "motivating," rather than humiliating), and there's no question he's continuing to find himself embroiled in a mess of both good and bad press, not to mention what has to be tons of paparazzi flashbulbs.
However, it seems that the New Jersey Nets pro is doing absolutely everything he can to ensure his ex Kim Kardashian and his divorce does not negatively impact his basketball score. In that spirit, "Kris does not watch the show [Kourtney and Kim Take New York] at all," revealed a source, according to Hollywood Life. "He knows that it would make him upset because the show is going to be presented one way only, to the benefit of Kim. He is solely focused on his health and basketball. He has been hampered with a shoulder injury this season that has made him miss a few games."
As an aside, it seems the reality series actually casts both Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian in what could be seen as a negative light by many viewers. It doesn't really seem to be doing much for the benefit of anyone. Still Humphries is getting his own fair share of backlash, as the source also confirmed, "People on Twitter bash him, question him... he can't get away from it."
Nevertheless, Humphries appears to have only one goal in mind now with tunnel vision focused on getting better and maintaining, if not improving, his game -- no Kardashian drama allowed. "He is determined to put all his thoughts on getting healthier and staying away from all things Kim." Hopefully it proves to be a slam-dunk strategy for this NBA player.
