When Kim Kardashian touches down at Harrah’s Atlantic City this week to host a party at The Pool After Dark, the reality star, 29, makes every moment count. She arrives by private plane from Indianapolis around 11:45 p.m., and takes off to return to Indiana’s capital city at 1:10 a.m. in preparation to join her family for the Indy 500.
But inbetween, she greets VH1’s Tough Love host Steve Ward (who preps for his fated introduction by dining at House of Blues eatery Foundation Room inside Showboat with members of the New York Giants), sips Voss water and poses for pix with fans gathered outside her cabana.
Indeed, family matters to the middle Kardashian sister.
“My sisters and I are almost done writing our book that comes out next year,” she says. “We’re really excited about giving all of our fans in-depth beauty secrets, and a more in-depth look at our lives and how we got to where we are now.
It’s not always easy Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim attests. During Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, which begins June 13 on E!, new parents Kourtney, 31, and fiancé Scott Disick face problems after Mason, now five months, arrives.
“Kourtney and Scott are doing OK,” Kim says. “I think that every relationship is a work in progress, and you’ll see how it all unfolds. The next season is definitely the craziest ever. I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone, to go through that, but you see what a strong person Kourtney is.”
How did they get through their struggles?
“I think family being around and having everyone to vent to.”
Despite the family drama, Kim plans to break away from the pack by taking a relaxing vacation this summer.
“I don’t know where yet,” she says. “I invited myself on Khloe and Lamar’s honeymoon, and they said I could go. And then, I thought it was a little rude of me, so I backed out of that, so I’m hoping to go to Dubai this summer. I hope to travel all over the world.”
Still, she’s pleased that her younger half-sisters are following her into the spotlight.
“Kendall and Kylie are having a good time,” she says. “They’re doing modeling stuff, and we’re really overprotective of them and we always will be, but it’s fun to see them. I’ll look at stuff online, and be like ‘Oh my God, they’re so tall, they’re so cute and beautiful, and I’m so happy that they’re growing up to be amazing young girls.”
