There maybe many signs that the Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse are mounting up, but having the “baby got butt” reality star Kim Kardashian  being rumored to replace Angelina Jolie  would go along way for me in giving credence to the horsemen readiness to ride. PopEater is reporting that Kim Kardashian, who has taken acting courses and appeared in such shows as CSI New York, is being considered to do a 3D version of the fame archeologist, Lara Croft. The role of Laura Croft, made famous in the movies by Angelina Jolie, producers seemed to be attempting to reboot the franchise… but with Kim Kardashian? We are told that the new 3D Laura Croft envisioned would not be as cerebral as the Jolie versions. I would hope not… but then again, I once saw Denise Richards playing a Nuclear Physicist in one of the Bond movies being helmed by Pierce Brosnan.

I am hoping that this was just some zealous producer (s) of the Laura Croft movies simply floating Kim’s name for the role of Croft to see how the fans would react or better still, Kim’s people dropping her name to see how the public at large would react to what would be the reality star’s elevation to the respectable A-league of “celebritydom.” I am just not seeing the symmetry for those who watch Kim’s reality show with the fans of the video games or the movies of Lara Croft. Of course, I could be wrong in bemoaning Kim being chosen to replace Jolie, but I once under estimated a rising star name Madonna… and look how wrong I was. I would say to Kim baby steps… add to your credits on the small screen because I am certain that the acting you do (if any) on your reality show will not have Jolie or Streep… suddenly welcoming you to their craft as a peer – some people should know their limitation.
